Well, I do know that the $1 trillion we spent in Iraq hurt the poor people in this country most. The dead soldiers came from poor and middle income backgrounds and the $1 trillion goes on everyone's tab, 99% of which are middle and lower income families. So increased costs of any kind always hurt the folks who can afford it least.

But again, you ignore the benefits. If we had taken that $1 trillion we spent in Iraq, and spent it on renewable energy instead, we'd already be at the end state vision.

And btw, while you are complaining about the coming train wreck that will cost American families $170 per year, why don't you talk about the $1 trillion Bush train wreck that cost American families $600 in new debt over the last 6 years.

We can avoid a lot of coming wars if we get off the oil. Oil is becoming a scarce commodity and there will be many more wars over securing those supplies. We'd best get off that track asap.

Renewable energy legislation is a downpayment on that.
