It really quite obvious, with all of the bargains, many investors were anxious to get their money out of a stock that has been holding steady and to put their money in one of the artifically depressed stocks that are likely to bounce back. The weasel market maker knows this and makes sure that he squeezes the seller for all their worth. Others sell because they are on margin, and know that others will sell since most under 5 stocks are not marginable. Once the action is over, the investors will return.
