It would be even cheaper to run everything on hydrogen... so, instead of poisonous carbon monoxide fumes coming out of the exhaust we would have harmless drops of water coming out of the exhaust... and with a punctured fuel tank, instead of leaking gasoline collecting on the ground as a fire hazard we would have hydrogen simply rising to the sky as a harmless gas...

The argument that hydrogen is dangerous is really bogus, driving around with tanks of gasoline is far more risky for explosions...
