Well, that's what the scientific consensus currently says. I think increased CO2 means warming. With warming will come alot of changes. Many of those changes will have huge financial impacts. So forgetting whether it is an existential issue for humans, one thing is probable, warmer temperatures mean huge financial losses. So from an economic perspective, I don't think it is wise to ignore.
