and Imus is an early morning entertainer. Imus was live on the air and just spur of the moment

Letterman had someone write that joke, then they do a rehersal and he said the joke, then he taped the show and joke and 3 hours later played the taped show. During all that time he could have stopped it. It was premeditated and Imus's wasn't
