Actually, I believe Cisco canceled their announced buyback plan sometime last Winter or Spring.

They had to do that to maintain tax free treatment when "pooling" an acquisition made with Cisco stock. I believe they are allowed to repurchase Cisco stock solely to accommodate employee stock option plans and related acquisitions.

Since the above is from memory, maybe someone from Cisco could confirm.

Looks like Cisco will close at $80.

why would we want csco to waste their money on buying csco @50 pe
when morgan stanley is willing to do it.
