Exactly, which is why I am saying the USD crisis is here.
A simple summary is that we have defaulted on the government
debt through quantitative easing and are denying it, while
playing confidence games. We even drag the discredited credit
rating agencies (Moody's) to affirm US AAA rating
that is now no better than their rating for subprime debt
in 2005-2006, also AAA. The market knows, it monitors
demand at treasury auctions very closely, so such confidence
games are necessary to prevent immediate collapse.
