Which is worse for a marriage and the children, cheap sex or a serious extramarital relationship? Which is more of a betrayal?

I am all for sex and relationships. I have as much of the former as possible and very rarely get stuck in the latter. But why these immoral jackasses feel they have to get married and produce kids when they still have a bad case of the hornies, I'll never understand. And Party lines make no difference in that statement.
