It would be a small chip...
Samsung is a Cube customer for their Consume DVD box...

Portable DVD, would be a nice addition to those frequent flyers.

Thomson Recalls Network Computer - -October 27, 1997
By Greg Tarr
Thomson said it has decided voluntarily to recall an initial allotment of its RCA Network Computer TV-Internet receivers due to a possible safety hazard.

A Thomson spokesman confirmed that the company recalled a shipment of about 1,000 NC terminals made to the West Coast retail chain The Good Guys because company executives discovered a safety problem that might develop under very unusual circumstances.

Thomson would not elaborate on the nature of the hazard except to say it was not aware of the problem ever occurring with products in the field and that it was not a threatening condition.

Thomson stressed the decision to recall the products was made to eliminate any possibility of a problem developing down the road and not in a reaction to any outside action.

Meanwhile, RCA is continuing with a regionalized rollout of corrected models of its two set-top terminals that use the NetChannel TV-Internet service.
