Andy,

to buy mutual funds at schwab you must submit order 2 hours before the market closes:>...7 minutes don't cut it;)

BTW: I have been accused on having a 1 track mind ,including the ability or handicap of blocking out anything not relevant to the task at hand:)

<<Anyone think markets around the world will rally, pushing up the Dow tomorrow?>>

Andy, while a rebounding can be expected for the coming Asian day, it might very well be a dead cat bounce. (I think the term was coined on this thread during the peanut butter days). The issue with the Asian markets is that the underlying problems are fundamental.

While US seems stable and without woes, the world has become so global that the stability of the domestic economy does not really matter that much anymore. To begin with, all companies with exports to Asia will be affected. Furthermore, the US markets had such impressive gains over the past couple of years, everybody was already nervous to some extent. Many of the fund managers IMHO will conclude that they have made enough money this year and will want to hold on to their gains for the remaining two months of the year, or the bonus time.

Thus, I don't think that today's rally will be sustained over the coming days. Tomorrow, the markets will probably be down.

I hope to be deeply wrong about my opinions, as I got within inches of a margin call on my LGND holdings and do not plan to sell as long as I can hold on.

Regards
Alper
