MRAP trucks: Afghan savior or boondoggle? The vehicle saved soldiers in Iraq. Now it's getting a $2 billion makeover for Afghanistan csmonitor.com No one wold go fight a conventional war against the US. Enemies will go unconventional. And they want just carnage. Kill troops. They can do nothing but kill soldiers. They can only win by having the American public opinion against that war. The US reaction is to protect their soldiers to avoid them being killed. Those measures cost a lot of money. Now in this case it needs to be taylor made for every special case terrain or country.
