What's a casual scientist? I know your work would be serious when you do it, so is it just a part time scientist? And don't think the suits etc are wondering why you aren't wearing one...for all they know, you could own the entire building, and maybe one or two of the companies in it. Remember, we are in tech land here, and most of them don't dress in suits unless there is an important speech or something of like manner....otherwise, business casual is the order of the day.
