Yes. As the dollar has "devalued", all prices have risen. I see no reason to doubt they will continue to do so. I don't think it has required any government decree. I hope that prices, even the price of the dollar, continue to float free and find their own level. You wouldn't want governments to try to "fix" the price of gold would you ? They abandoned the "official" price years ago. Central banks were unwilling to sell gold at less than its market price. (BWDIK)

I've been looking for info on wage inflation.. not as easy to pin down as cpi inflation
