Glenn

That has been awhile.

Those were the days on the other Obama board-----I began writing on that board around Thanksgiving of 2006 to learn about Obama.

I was both interested and curious about this man from Hawaii that I knew nothing about. All I knew was that he had given the keynote speech at the Democrat Convention.

As his story unfolded along with other stories of Chicago, I began to raise questions that were not acceptable, not pc, to the posters on the site.

Glenn posted some messages that ended up being the catalyst for my posting less and less on a site that was obvious in distain for anyone who questioned the DNC Party Line and the Obama Campaign Line.

I suggest that, if you have the time that you start with Post 1 on that site and read through the whole thread-----early on AS came on the site, what a trial that was.

My initial and genuine interest in Obama was more than for most mainland Americans. I had lived on Oahu when Obama was about 10, ie. 1971, when Obama was entering Punahou.

I knew the island of Oahu very well including its people----I walked the same streets in Honolulu as Obama did----banked at the bank his Grandmother worked at----substituted in the public schools----visited the open air markets to shop for fresh chickens and vegetables in Old Town Honolulu.

Went to some political events attended by both parties.

Worked to clean up television for our children on Oahu------obviously a losing cause as television is now rife with pornography and abberant behavior.

Demonstrated against the anti-war demonstrators as they demonstrated at Punchbowl on an Easter Sunrise Morning against our men in Vietnam.

Was one of 8 young women who voted No to the American Association of University of Women's endorsement of abortion at a meeting held at the University of Hawaii meeting.

As I read and watched Obama's campaign, in the final analysis of Obama, there were too many unanswered questions-----he could give a strong, shouting rally speech but failed to meet the standards that I believe a President of America should have.

Did the threat to notify the secret service bother me-----no
it was an empty threat. During the heat of a campaign it would have made for juicy Virginia news not favorable to Obama.

Guess that would be the same secret service that folks on Chinu's thread said would pay no attention to death threats chanted by the alleged hate-filled Palin crowds.
