You mean to tell me they have already constructed the silos for GBI in Hawaii?

Mobile GBI.

USA 193 was not a more rigorous test, it tested a different aspect.

I agree it was a "different aspect", but the closing velocity was far greater. Which is the ultimate test.

While it is true we haven't had occasion to test these devices in a live attack (and we haven't tested Hydrogen bombs that way, either), we have numerous successful tests and a only a few failed ones.

You're arguing with the facts. The facts are that we have DEPLOYED AEGIS missile defense which wouldn't have been done was there not a reasonable degree of reliability. It has been proven was numerous tests plus USA193.

And Bob Gates has made the statement leaving no uncertainty about the ability.

You can argue with a fence post if you like. From my POV, that is enough information to proclaim the system working, at least against the potential threat from NK (which you, yourself, has admitted is minimal at this point in time).

It is YOU who said we don't have the capability. If you're like to withdraw the statement and admit you were wrong or that you mis-spoke, then I'll gladly drop the entire issue. But the statement is 100% wrong. There is no doubt we have that capability. There is always the possibility something would go wrong and there always will be. But nobody is bluffing, nobody is lying, it is a simple fact that this technology, derived from SDI which you people all opposed, is making us more secure today.

(Oh, shit, that SDI reference just kills you guys, doesn't it? That you were ALL wrong about it, you just can't stand it)...
