Yes, agreed. Though it's still true that a USD run is in nobody's near-term interest. The global economy's still very unstable, and provoking such an event would be non-productive.

RP, that is *so* different from the US, it is amazing. No, seriously, we flip flop and do what is in our short term interest. Thanks to critical control of the gov't, the penalties usually associated with such short sighted behavior have been eliminated by the taxpayer being held up at gunpoint, or just robbed in the dark of the night.
