"Alcohol may also have been a factor, the RCMP said."

I can't believe the RCMP would make such a racist statement before all the facts are in. No wonder native people in Saskatchewan are converting to Islam.

2 killed when minivan rolls on reserve near Tisdale

Last Updated: Monday, June 29, 2009

"Two people from a First Nation near Tisdale, Sask., were killed when the minivan they were in crashed on the weekend.

The accident happened Saturday afternoon on a grid road on the Kinistin Saulteaux Nation, just west of town, the RCMP said.

Five people were in the van when the driver lost control. The minivan left the road and rolled into the ditch.

No one was wearing a seatbelt. Three people were thrown from the van when it rolled, the RCMP said.

The people who died were the driver of minivan, a 25-year-old woman, and a 32-year-old female passenger.

A man and two women were also taken to hospital, but police have not said how severe their injuries are.

Alcohol may also have been a factor in the accident, the RCMP said.

Police continue to investigate.

All five people in the van were from the Kinistin Saulteaux Nation. The names of the two victims have not been released."
