Accusing opponents of treason is a familiar tactic from the last administration with predictable and well-known results. It's unfortunate to see Krugman go down that road. He really is clueless as a politician, whatever his merits as an economist.

Yet the deniers are choosing, willfully, to ignore that threat, placing future generations of Americans in grave danger

John;

Well I set the Krugman piece up for you today huh? I wish Krugman would take a pragmatic argument rather this shrillness. I don't think people respond well to scare tactics.

What do I mean by pragmatic; Explain to us the need to address the energy issue so that we don't continue to spend this countries treasury to ME countries that hate us. Explain how decreasing polluting energy sources will make all our health better - lessening asthma, allergies and cancers. Explain the opportunity to America for good jobs if we provide the world with the new energy source technolgy AND products.

Instead Krugman beats up on members of congress almost calling them traitors. What an opportunity Krugman wasted with this editorial. Sad!
