When she said that, I said, "Taxpayers will pay through inflation..." so maybe she got it, briefly <g> Most people don't realize that persistent inflation will push people into poverty eventually. Politicians count on those people having little or no voice of dissent any longer. My wife's 100 year old grandmother isn't going to be joining any protest, writing any letters, or participating in a march. Let the young believe that a raise every year for the same job is a good thing. That's what I was cultivated to believe when I was first working in the late 70s. I didn't know anybody who thought inflation was 'abnormal' but rather we all just thought it was a part of life. Somewhere along the way somebody slipped me a red pill...
