John, Datek was fine all day. I didn't do a lot of trades, but did do 3 trades. One of them was a stubborn low-ball bid I made on BROC at 4 1/2 (and got near the close). The other two (TDF and MDCO, both limit orders) were filled and confirmed very quickly, MDCO within seconds, TDF in about 2 minutes.

Jonh, Roger et all -- Got onto eSchwab, Lombard easily before 9AM. Damn ETRADE, kept timing out.

Schwab was swamped by 10AM and could not get back in until around 2PM. I was using a Fractional T1 line so I think i had an advantage, but it cost me instead of helping me.

These online services were not built for today's demand. Many people will transfer their accounts after today.
