German, Korean and Japanese auto companies have been getting far larger government special treatment and subsidies for YEARS than ours.

Japanese car companies were not run by the government but rather good ole capitalists. And some of them are pretty good.

Korean car companies were not run by the government but rather good ole capitalists. And some of them are surprisingly good.

Even German car companies were arguably not run by the government but rather good ole capitalists. And some of them are pretty good.

The American car companies were run by Republicans.....there in lies the difference.
