I find it very frustrating to try to discuss this stuff with him. The conversations are circular.

I am astonished at the willingness for people to look the other way when it comes to SS & Medicare. Yes, it is great having these programs, but it doesn't change the reality that they're breaking the country.

So, we just keep doing what we're doing.

If you didn't see it, Brumar posted a great article on another thread debunking the claim that Medicare is less expensive to administer than private insurance. This article is worth reading by anyone who thinks government is a solution to any of these problems:
