that reminds me of how liberals across the nation are telling each other than Prop. 13 is the cause of CA's financial problems.

In the aforementioned article I read back in about '80, one of the key points made by the author was that eventually, this ends in tax revolt. You can only take so much before people refuse to pay more.

Unfortunately, the federal government's borrowing ability masks the problem, and will do so until it is too late.
