tlindt, n/c dell and cpq are eating their lunch and they can't compete. after all, this bow wow has disappointed 3 qs in a row and their eps has imploded.

they better hope that cpq and dell don't pass the 20% intel cut on to customers right away.

they also better hope they don't have 500k old ps and piis that they bought at the old prices sitting in inventory ;-)

TLindt, DELL's p/e over 40 is already over-value but it has good prospect, consistent good earnings and expanding market share. What does GTW have at this moment other than a p/e more than DELL and a surprise quarterly loss before charge (or they called it break-even)?

The recent unusual activity may be a result of:
1) The institutions loaded up with GTW from last wave from 28 to 36. They don't want it down right now and they want to keep it for another quarter to see if earning will improve in hot 4th Q. Their business PC/Server may able to offerset the lower ASP of family PCs.

2) Institution will hold the GTW until the dust settle, then they will put GTW under distribution to unload some of their holdings to certain level then they begin to downgrade the stocks and start another wave.

IF you look at the 5 days chart and compare it to Dell and Compaq, GTW is virtually unaffect by yesterday correction. It followed its own downward slope steadily until this morning. I will not expect any significant upward movement for GTW, if no downgrade, GTW will probably trade within the 28-31 range else 25 is possible. Well, I am not a TA, so I could be wrong but I am glad that I don't have any investment related to GTW at this moment, no short, no put, no shares. Thus whatever happen will be a good free lesson to me.

BTW: SIII is closed to its bookvalue now at 1.5x, any thought?

Good Luck
