That mix is not all that rare in his kinds of academic levels. At least in my experience. Reminds me of some top-tier pro athletes who are a bit deficient in the getting-along-with-others department as a byproduct of their talent and success. Not to mention that they all enjoy the attention it engenders, whatever their chosen profession.

John; But you also get an extraordinary mind. Yes krugman has a great mind - so do lots of people. That is a gift from his parents or God - your choice. But what makes a man great in my mind is what that person does with his mind be it great or a mediocre one.
