Yes Jim, but think about how much happier Californians will be once the state government can throw more money at the problems it has been neglecting for years!

If the Prop. 13 opponents also want to lower the tax rate on the highest income brackets, then they might actually be consistent with their logic. Unfortunately, most of them are just yellow dog Democrats who hasn't seen a tax-n-spend plan they didn't like.

Repeal of prop 13 would result in a hellova tax increase out of the box, wouldn't it? Then the california state government would spend even more. Right before property values plumeted even more. While hoards of people are either taxed out of their houses or dump them on the market. ng
