I think some of the science is still evolving. For example, CO2 and temperature is highly correlated, but where's the causality proof? I haven't been convinced on that yet. However, the overwhelming evidence is very clearly pointing in that direction.

For example, cholesterol is highly correlated to heart disease. However, recently they discovered that cholesterol alone isn't the prime cause. It's a combination of high cholesterol and inflammation that you really have to watch out for. So now, I get tested for both things periodically. I know people that tell me it's all poppycock. I know others that say I should just pray and everything will be just fine. Well, I pray, but I also listen to my doctor, because he's familiar with all the latest science.

Here's a parable you should know. A man's town was getting flooded from a storm and the flood waters were about to reach his house. He looked out the first floor window and saw a man driving in a Hummer who said, "Hop in and we'll take you to safety." The man replied, "God will save me. Go on ahead."

Then the flood waters reached his first floor, so he climbed the stairs to the second floor and looked out his window. He saw his neighbors in their boat driving by and they said, "Hop in and we'll take you to safety." The man said, "God will save me. Go on ahead."

Then the flood waters reached his second floor, so he climbed up to the attic, punched a hole through the roof, climbed up onto the roof and sat there looking around as the flood waters rose inexorably higher. A helicopter with rescue workers flew close and they said, "Climb the ladder, hop in and we'll take you to safety." The man said, "God will save me. Go on ahead."

The flood waters swallowed up the house and drowned the man. When he got to Heaven, he met God and he said to God, "I prayed and waited for you to save me, but you let me drown." God replied, "I sent you a Hummer, a boat, and a helicopter. Why didn't you take advantage of the opportunities I sent to save yourself?"

So the question I have for you is this: Just how many signs and how much proof do you need before you line up with the rest of us that don't want to remain dependent on oil and don't want to ruin our planet in the process of burning fossil fuels?
