Not trying to make the claim, just putting things in perspective. If you were of the opinion that they taught fairly accurate history 50 years ago, then some of what they teach now would appear as if they were intentionally looking for things to make the US look bad. But the teaching of US history went through a whitewashing in the late 1800s, not that it was all that great before, and never really recovered from that.
