And I want to also point out that the card house builders have an expectation that the wind won't blow, e.g. that GDP will always rise year after year after year and that there will be no recessions or depressions or natural disasters, wars, biological attacks, etc.

That's "ceuterus paribus" --- ASSUMING that nothing changes in the next 25 years... like the future being put on auto-pilot.
