Yeah i don't think much of the socialists, but don't like the oligarch thugocracies either, down there those are the only two alternatives, there is no sizable faction supporting true liberal free-enterprise constitutional democracy anywhere, no true capitalism period ... briefly during one venezolano election there was a Ni-Ni group started up [means Neither-Nor], it faded quickly, all support sucked into one or the other idiot extremes ... which are both surprisingly alike, if you cut through all the rhetorical bullshit ... of course the same is true on this continent, we're just used to it

Correa of Ecuador is the closest to the real thing i can think of, anywhere in the Americas ... not his populist rhetoric, you have to understand he must talk that way to get elected, but in what he does, and specifically in re Dynasty ... 'watch what they do, not what they say' ... he stuck it to the oil companies yes, well check out the whole story, maybe they had that coming
