They passed a NYC education bill, and in it they included additional taxes. Combined NYC and NY marginal income tax rate is now 12.6%. A friend owns an apartment in Manhattan and a house upstate. The taxes on the apartment (a 2 bedroom) recently were increased by 4K (to a total of over 12), and on the house, by 3K. And all this while the property values are coming down pretty hard. ....and on top of that it's cold, and it hasn't stopped raining for a month... on a day off all I can do is sit and bs on SI... I've gotto get outa here... LOL/ng
