Yeah sure, gloom and doom. How about "crops grow widely as temperatures increase, no one goes hungry in the world as California like temperature, creates California like crops that feed the planet".

I believe it was a lot warmer eons ago when the Dinosaurs ate themselves to massive size.

The point is, you don't know, that writer doesn't know and I don't know. However, the ideologically driven hard left, led by Obama, will raise taxes on everyone to pay for their nightmares.

The bad news is that the pessimistic models appear to be optimistic.

Oceans Rising Faster Than UN Forecast, Scientists Say (Update2)

By Alex Morales

June 18 (Bloomberg) -- Polar ice caps are melting faster and oceans are rising more than the United Nations projected just two years ago, 10 universities said in a report suggesting that climate change has been underestimated.

Global sea levels will climb a meter (39 inches) by 2100, 69 percent more than the most dire forecast made in 2007 by the UN’s climate panel, according to the study released today in Brussels. The forecast was based on new findings, including that Greenland’s ice sheet is losing 179 billion tons of ice a year.

"The recent [Arctic] sea-ice retreat is larger than in any of the (19) IPCC [climate] models" [PDF] — and that was a Norwegian expert in 2005. The retreat has accelerated in the past two years.

The ice sheets appear to be shrinking "100 years ahead of schedule." That was Penn State climatologist Richard Alley in March 2006.

Scientist Warns Climate Change Happening Faster Than Predicted

Großansicht des Bildes mit der Bildunterschrift: Scientists warn sea levels are rising faster than predictedGlobal warming calculations have been too optimistic and global sea levels are likely to rise a full meter this century, senior German scientists have warned. They say UN-backed data on climate change is out of date.

Life on Earth ends with apocalyptic storms, flash floods, hydrogen sulphide gas and methane fireballs racing across the globe with the power of atomic bombs; only fungi survive

That's funny - considering the earth's CO2 has in the past been 10 times higher than today at 3500+ PPM and it was the greenest period in Earth history and had the most diverse collection of animals ever.
