As to health care, you should keep in mind that these other countries "radical agendas" don't provide anywhere near the innovation that makes health care better world wide.

Listen, we've been through this 1000 times, but other countries are providing similar results (maybe better maybe worse but at the margin) at half the cost. And cost is the issue that defines the debate; the cost is simply unsustainable. The health care industry will suck our economy dry. Do you deny that?

Many, many doctors, in the 40% range, support single payer. Higher than the status quo. Much more radical than the proposals coming through Congress, which are anything but radical compared with the the rest of the civilized world. A big yawn.

I'm not happy with the way things are unfolding. I think we absolutely have to have a public opinion, with the eventual transition to single payer.
