Here's the Wall St. Journal Interactive Edition article about Franklin. It'd be nice to see it in the paper tomorrow. Franklin Telecom Unveils Internet Phone System NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Franklin Telecom's (FTEL) FNet unit introduced its Internet telephone system. In a press release Tuesday, the California-based communications device company said its network provides long-distance phone service over the Internet. The system allows subscribers to dial a local number when they want to place calls outside of their own area codes, then routes them over the the Internet rather than long-distance phone lines. The system is in place in four cities, said a spokeswoman. The company plans to have a total of 250 cities on the network by the end of the year. WH
