Rather than arguing what is probably an unimportant point (i.e., where it comes from) and keeping in mind that the drug companies alone in the US spent some $70 Billion last year on R&D, are you suggesting that a government-run health care program will provide as great an incentive for medical research as the current system?

I ask this because if that were the case, you'd think some of the socialist systems you think we should mimic would be doing more. How much great medical innovation comes out of Canada?


Bull. The European system cost vs. the US system costs prove that that is false.


Nonsense. It doesn't do any such thing. You are simply changing the subject. Compare American government run health care (Medicare/Medicaid) with American private health care. American private health care is more efficient than the government run programs.
