OT - It should be so easy. I get the same thing, that until we have it in cash, I haven't really made the gains. Me, I'll trade risk I can understand and evaluate for potentially large gains against meager returns anyday. She believes her siblings who are in investment banking more than me - they talk in generalities and make their money from wages and outlandish bonuses. I've made mine from wages and (I believe) astute investments and some good timing calls on major market moves (I still stink when it comes to timing individual stocks! - I sold Oct 65 puts on QCOM :-D) Every big payoff I've had, she's bitched about before the payoff and/or I made a smaller bet because of her reservations. If she gets burned on a particular stock, she holds it against the stock, rather than the timing. Ain't married life great? I do love her so.
