I think both Bush and Palin have the intellect to be President. I don't think she has the experience or polish yet and maybe never will, but she has the intellect.

For that matter I can't think of a presidential candidate who was a serious contender, democrat or republican who I thought lacked the intellect to be president.

As to whether those who questioned the intellect of Palin or Bush to be president. I think many are bigots, by which I mean they beliefe that any one who disagrees with their view isstupid. Many bright people can come to different conclusions. Both parties have stupid supporters. I saw several interviews with Obama Supporters who were unable to name a single accomplishment of Obama but who were going to vote for him because he was the better candidate. They did not even know the most basic facts about him or his opponent. There are people on both sides who fit that description.

However, I do not believe that conservatives as a group are superior intellectually to liberals. To beleive so belies the facts and to believe that liberals as a group are intellectually superior to conservatives belies the facts.

It is a stupid argument unless you can point to a scientific study to prove your point.
