Then you could say, see, I adopted this or that and I'm saving $X. I've cut my electric bill by about 40% by installing a new efficient heat pump and tankless water heater. Can't do everything at once... I suppose you think that's a hypocritical excuse.

I could say the same about you. If you believe so much in oil and gas, why aren't every one of your cars a Hummer? As far as me putting my money where my mouth is, I will soon enough. Electric cars will be manufactured by a whole host of companies by 2012. Then I'll have my pick. Then I'll have bragging rights to say I put my money where my mouth is. Until then, my intent to participate in the revolution in automobiles and renewable energy is clear, just not put into action yet due to the availability in the area where I live.
