If some divine insight for unique success on this topic resides with conservatives, why did they never implement it when in power? Instead, Reagan and the Bushes rolled through the same ups and downs of the business cycle as anyone else. It's like neocon foreign policy, always absolutely right when dictated from Beltway think tanks but once you put it into practice, the results just don't seem to come out right. Same thing will happen in the future when the pendulum swings and they are back in power again. Perfect insight is so much easier in the abstract, from the sidelines.
