Anette,

Thanks for the comments. Certainly the one of the outstanding features of this play is the quality of mgt, and you have reinforced this in our minds.

I am extremely bullish both on the market as a whole and on ABTX in particular. I have great confidence that we will see close to $15 by year end, or early in 1998, and anticipate at least $20 sometime in coming year. If they hit or exceed the 0.45 estimate we may even see higher 12 mo hence.

Overall, I expect great volatility in the market for the next couple of weeks, maybe longer. But the up trend will resume IMHO because the boomer generation needs to put their savings somewhere, and bonds and money market just won't cut it. I fully expect a 9000 Dow before the end of next year and such a strong market environment, if it occurs, will be even more positive for ABTX. Hopefully we will not run afoul of any more currency situations in that time (but don't count on it).

BTW, I picked up some HPZ this afternoon; looks like it settled out.

FWIW,
Jim L.

Thanks Anette for the added info on the ABTX conference call. Again I say that it was a very timely report from Mr.Thomas. Piper Jaffray was looking for a loss of -3 cents a share on revenues of only 11.5 million. A posotive 3 cents in eps along with 40.5 million in sales should be more than enough to get the analyst back to the drawing boards. Perhaps 98 will be a lot stronger than most predictions thus far this year. In your report Mr.Thomas stated that he was comfortable with high projections of +45 cents a share for 98. Personally I think these numbers will be higher, and the fast start thus far confirms this idea. With ABTX's earnings growth projections of 50 per cent a year, coupled with the industry standard of 30 to 50 times earnings, ABTX at +.45 cents a share could easly reach a share price of 18 to 20 dollars by June of 98. Not bad from these levels by any standards. Time will tell the story, I hope I'am on the low end of the tape. Thanks again Anette, great news....Archie

Annette,
Yesterday's ABTX volume was a bit over 1 million. Float is cited as 18.5 million (http://biz.yahoo.com/p/a/abtx.html).
Does that mean that more than 5% of the shareholders in ABTX changed during the day yesterday?
Or does that just mean that a *few* shareholders were out there churning?
How does one assess these figures to draw rational estimates of what's going on?
Thanks in advance for helping me to understand the dynamics here.

JSB.
