Sure, majorities can abuse their power, especially in systems with poor minority protections. But that's no basis to proceed to an insular, abusive minority as a better form of government.

Dictatorships are inevitably a minority, sometimes a small clique that may or may not be tribal/ethnic/class/profession-related, profiting from and often abusing the majority they rule over by force.

I don't see what good ever comes from that.
