I saw her speech and it was certainly coherent. That's just being ridiculous Steve. You may not have liked her speech and perhaps it was spoken in a way you didn't appreciate, but it was certainly coherent.

That's the problem with critics of Governor Palin. They make extreme statements about her, that are so far out in left field, one can only conclude they actually have a different reason for making the statement.

It reminds me of posters on SI who criticize people they disagree with. If they really thought the person was ridiculous, absurd, stupid etc. they wouldn't waste time or energy responding to the poster. The same is true of Palin. The reason so many invest time and energy writing negative things about her, is because of something other than "she is ridiculous".

I didn't find her speech incoherent but it was cliche after cliche, over and over: God, prayer, Hell Yes! on the vote from her family, what is good for Alaska, millions of dollars being wasted, I can still effect change, common sense about the "Full court press--they can call an audible, God Bless, you have my heart, my promise is standing by with a positive direction and Douglas McCarthur's words, "I'm not retreating, just going in a different directions.".........(panting, out of breath).

I understood every word even though they were empty words, but they are appealing to some people who think she is really thinking about and evaluating real problems--and, she could still be a force with people who respond to platitudes. Very depressing. Blagojevich has given similar speeches.
