ElM, you are right that there is a natural size [meaning GDP per person] for each country. But it's a function of Smart Fraction Theory, not simply population. Your mistake is to think of people from different countries as fungible. They are not.

Nor is it much to do with population distribution by age though that certainly makes a difference.
