Palin is just the kind of loser that can win (R) primaries like crazy! I think 2 years on Fox will rehab her rep, among those who count, her wingnut base. Unless she decides, like Rush, that actually competing in an election is just too risky and unrewarding.

I feel much the same way you do but I am not as sure that the neos are forever vanquished. They are doing a very good job I've staying alive.

They are fighting for their lives... but if they manage to put up some candidates the next election will probably be their last.

After listening to Palin's 'farewell' speech, I don't think anything has changed......just the tactics. Throughout her speech, Palin cued her supporters. They got the 'real' intent behind her resignation. Remember all through the 90s the neos harassed Clinton....never diverging from their agenda. Ideologues never give up......they go fighting to their graves.

And then there is here......WA state has defeated initiative after initiative put up by our local winger. And now, because of this recession, he has a good chance of winning with his latest crap piece. And this iniative will be like Prop 13 restricting how much revenue the state can collect and fixing taxes at a set level.
