Didn't Steve Jobs just get a liver transplant because he was "top of the list as sickest"? He should have been able to simply bid $1 billion, for the next best tissue matching liver on eBay, out-bidding those who might be sicker but lack the cash.

It seems he was not able to do that but had to wait in line for doctors to decide he was next.

What's the current bid for a kidney in the USA? In NZ, doctors and ethics committee people force people to die for lack of kidneys. I notice that doctors insist on cartel-sized payment for their part in organ transplants but they refuse to let organ donors get payment. They have very strange ideas on what is ethical. Their ideology directly kills people, which shows their Hypocritical Oath for what it is.
