Instock,

Waterhouse was frustrating today. I was getting quotes from Trade Direct and had my other phone on automatic redail to my local office where I got my trades executed at the $12 rate. The web was useless! I guess I might have to install the Personal Access for Windows software. Do you know anyone using the direct PC access and if it worked today?

I will have to admit that they did get an excellent fill for me on ACMI below the ask at what turn out to be the lowest buy of the day on ACMI. However, it took almost one hour for me to confirm the trade.

Also, I have noticed false trading volumes on both WebBroker and TouchPhone during the first ten minutes of trading for the past few days. Has anyone noticed this? For example, I would watch the volume on ACMI go from 58 to 2,058 to 4,058 to 18,058 then all of a sudden it back at 1,300 and goes up again from there. The quotes appear correct but the volume is wrong.

From what I been hearing, I'm not sure any of the discount online trading sites were working well today. I have seen reported that even the big boys of online like e-Schwab and Fidelity were unreachable at times this morning. I guess it is the price we pay for trading online.
