Even Obama's voters are losing their jobs...No jobs makes no extra purchases...

I don't know about Washington, but in all states near Pennsylvania the various states, Ohio, New York, Delaware, New Jersey and West Virginia have been placing there Troopers at the nearest fireworks point of sale and pulling them over as the cross back into the home state.

PA has developed an intentional loophole into their fireworks laws. They have established many fireworks sales shops along the borders. Only people with identification from outside Pennsylvania are allowed in the stores. A patron signs a paper stating they are the "common carrier" and the items will leave the state within 24 hours. On big selling periods, such as now, the border states have at times resorted to the activity I stated above. Very unsettling, but it appears legal. So far most cases have only been the confiscation of the items as far as I know.

much less shooting off of private fireworks this 4th of July. Couple years ago, the town sounded like a firefight, even during the daytime.

Ditto for here - Spring TX. But I found out the county fire marshall had restricted missiles and rockets this year because of the dry weather. Apparently firecrackers and sparklers and such are ok though. We have a burn ban now too.
