The number is actually about 2000 per hour of actually fertilized eggs but if we include contraceptive prevention as being vouchsafed by God (as Catholic prophylaxis obviously is :-) then my legitimate hyperbole to emphasise a point is hardly hyperbole any more. ;-) Because potential pregnancies that God and man act together to prevent are as high as the number of people having sex each day (times the number of orgasms) who are intentionally preventing the sperm from reaching the egg or are aborting it within a few hours with medicine. But the number is really not important as long as you understand the picture being presented--2000 per hour are STRICTLY Acts of God. So when you people call it murder remember where you are pointing your uneducated little fingers. "Countless people also die of natural causes every day" Nothing to do with this issue. If God believed every fertilized egg was sacred and had the right to work out its eternal destiny by accepting "Jesus" or Allah or whoever, then God would not murder them.
