"Life is pretty rare in the universe and we should treasure it."

On planet earth life is ubiquitous. It overwhelms sense and logic. It teems everywhere in infinite variety. What IS (perhaps) rare is intelligent life. But I wonder about that, too? We are an infantile species defining intelligence for our own ends. We kill and eat other species and pretend to a Dominion over them. But most of them have lived far longer than us and kill and eat and kill and eat us, as well.

The drive (in all creatures) to get a piece of tail and to continue on seems to indicate outside interference. I am not talking about any primitive God conceptions but it is surely a mystery...
