Best explanation I've seen so far (though it's probably as wrong as the rest...): Frequently, the most obvious destination is the one overlooked. It makes sense from a couple of other perspectives: the suddenness of the announcement........clearly she didn't prepare a speech. And choosing to do it on the Friday before a long holiday weekend.......a favorite time for the dispensing of unfavorable news.........suggests she might not be too happy with her predicament. The one thing that struck me is how similar she and GW Bush are.......they both ramble in the same way and can't seem to get focused. The US deserves better.........in fact, every country does.
